2009 Week 5 NFL Ratings/Rankings and Summary

Week 5 of the NFL season is complete and it resulted in some changes in the ratings.  The ratings are below but can always be found at http://sites.google.com/site/computerratings/nfl-football/nfl-ratings.

New Orleans stays #1 but the gap is a bit smaller and to a new #2 in Indianapolis.  Denver, even with the win, gets passed by Indy but stays ahead of #4 Minnesota.  The other undefeated team, the Giants, was actually hurt by having to play Oakland but also by three previous opponents all losing and falls to #11.

The computer did well picking games this week going 10-4 against the spread, but a disappointing 4-4 on best picks even though the one lock was a win.  Full prediction performance here.
