2009 Week 10 NFL Preview

The full predictions each week are at http://sites.google.com/site/computerratings/nfl-football/nfl-predictions but below is a discussion of some of the interesting games.  These games all picked by the current computer ratings located here.

The computer went 3-1 last week in interesting games and 9-5 overall.  See full records by week here.

Denver visits Washington where the line is only 3.5 and the computer likes Denver big by 12.  Even if you factor in Denver having to travel east and coming down to earth a bit the past few weeks, still seems to be a pretty strong pick.

Cincinnati visits Pittsburgh trying to knock them off a second time, but Pittsburgh seems to have it going now and Vegas agrees setting the line at 7 but the computer likes them by only 4.2.  This game will go a long way to determining playoff seeds.

Philadelphia visits San Diego coming off a disappointing loss while San Diego comes in on a high winners of 3 straight going after Denver.  The computer believes Philly is the better team but home field advantage makes San Diego the 1.6 point pick but the line is 2.5.

Last, Indy hosts New England in a game that could decide the #1 seed in the AFC and whether or not Indy has to continue to answer questions about going undefeated for the season.  The computer and Vegas agree Indy is the favorite, but the computer by more at 3.9 versus 2.5.

After several good weeks, the computer stunk it up last week but is still 73-45-2 for the year.  If you are interested in additional details on picks against the spread, best picks, and locks, see this where you can subscribe to a weekly newsletter.

Enjoy the games.
