Hey thanks for doing this. I always like tracking the bowls by conference. ESPN waits until the bowl season is almost over before posting the results in this manner. Also looks like the WAC, Mtn West and SEC are doing worse than expected and Big East and Big Ten are doing better than expected.
ReplyDeleteYes, from early results, the SEC may look like they are doing worse than expected having been favored in every game and losing one already, but with 7 games played, even when favored, it was unlikely they'd win every one, my computer saying the most likely record would be 5-2, so 2-1 thus far isn't far off.
ReplyDeleteAnd the Mountain West and WAC are done and did just one game worse than expected so not disastrous.
The Big East could still finish my most likely 2-3 although Pitt is favored over SMU. The Big Ten too still has a number of games to go.
The championship game is a guaranteed win and should be left out imho.
ReplyDeleteYou are correct, it is also a guaranteed loss, and so I have left it out. The SEC has 9 teams in 8 games, but I'm only tracking the 7 games not including the BCS championship.
