Next up in my series of posts visualizing the 2022 USTA League Nationals schedules is the 18 & Over 4.5 women which will be played the second weekend of Nationals.
This schedule looks reasonably random but as with others, there are some mini-pods.
Florida, Texas, and Midwest all play each other, Northern, Southern, and Southwest all play each others, and New England, SoCal, and Intermountain all play each other.
All the mini-pods you are describing sound like a good thing, because that means that in those pods, only 1 of those teams will potentially be undefeated. Correct me if I'm wrong?
ReplyDeleteIt also looks like Nor Cal, PNW and MoValley all play each other, however, that one is more difficult to spot in the graph above.

Expanding on my previous comment, the biggest pod of teams that you could make that all play each other for the Florida 9.0 mixed sectionals was just a pod of 2.
